2 March 2020, Berlin. The task force “Artificial Intelligence and Media” of the German Bundestag invited Prof. Dr. Jan Bernd Nordemann (Partner at NORDEMANN and Professor at Humboldt University Berlin) as an expert to its session. The Enquete Commission, of which the task force is a part, is working on policy recommendations on the creation of works by artificial intelligence (AI). Prof. Dr. Jan Bernd Nordemann gave an introductory presentation on the legal situation from a national perspective. He focused on the creation of works by AI and their protection through neighboring rights in the context of German and EU copyright law.
