Dr. Julian Waiblinger

With over 15 years in private practice, Julian Waiblinger is an experienced IP lawyer specialized in European and German copyright law. He regularly advises and represents clients in the film, sports, games, music and publishing sectors in high profile IP cases and online enforcement matters.

Julian’s main practice areas cover representation in infringement proceedings, advice on copyright contract law and rights clearance matters. He is also assisting clients in developing and implementing strategies against internet piracy. In trade mark law, he also has many years of experience in trade mark prosecution and the management of national and international trade mark portfolios.

He is the author and co-author of many works in the areas of copyright law. These include, for example, Fromm/Nordemann, one of the leading copyright law commentaries in Germany, and annual reports in the leading legal journal “NJW” on the most recent developments in copyright legislation and case law. Julian holds a PhD in copyright law and teaches at Potsdam University.
