On Friday, 29 May 2020, our partner Dr. Anke Nordemann-Schiffel, maître en droit, and our research assistant Jonas Tylewski, maître en droit, both lecturers at the Humboldt University of Berlin, will lead the comparative law seminar of the study program “German-French Legal Studies (BerMüPa)” together with Dr. Laurence Nicolas-Vullierme, lecturer at the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. As part of their academic specialisation, the bilingual students have written papers on specific topics to the overarching the subject of “Unfair competition law in a Franco-German Comparison: Protection of Consumers and Competitors”, which will be presented and discussed in this context. The seminar looks at unfair competition law from a German and French perspective and how it is influence by European legislation.  BerMüPa is a long-term university cooperation between the Humboldt University of Berlin, the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and the Université Paris II Panthéon Assas. This is already the fourth seminar that Dr. Anke Nordemann-Schiffel and Jonas Tylewski are jointly conducting together with a counterpart from Université Paris II, but the first one to be held as a video conference.
