Kaya Milobara

Kaya Milobara specializes in copyright, trade mark, design and unfair competition law. She represents clients in copyright infringement proceedings and provides comprehensive advice on contract drafting and licensing issues. A particular focus of her work lies with artificial intelligence and the AI Act in particular. She advises rightholders as well as national and international companies and associations, for example in the areas of film, theatre, music, book, journalism and sports.
She advises trade mark proprietors from the application process onwards. This includes conducting similarity searches as well as handling application, opposition and cancellation proceedings before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and infringement proceedings before German and European courts.
As part of her legal training, she completed a Double Degree in English and German Law at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and King’s College London. During her training, she was already able to gain experience in a Berlin law firm specializing in copyright law.
Kaya Milobara also serves as Deputy Executive Director of the Northern Regional Association of the German Stage Association. In this capacity, she advises the association’s members in the federal states of Bremen, Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, primarily on theatre employment law and copyright matters.
