Kaya Milobara

Attorney at Law (Germany)

Kaya Milobara specializes in copyright, trade mark, design and unfair competition law. She represents clients in copyright infringement proceedings and provides comprehensive advice on contract drafting and licensing issues. A particular focus of her work lies with artificial intelligence and the AI Act in particular. She advises rightholders as well as national and international companies and associations, for example in the areas of film, music, book, journalism and sports. She also has a special personal interest in spoken word and musical theatre.

She advises trade mark proprietors from the application process onwards. This includes conducting similarity searches as well as handling application, opposition and cancellation proceedings before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and infringement proceedings before German and European courts.

As part of her legal training, she completed a Double Degree in English and German Law at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and King’s College London. During her training, she was already able to gain experience in a Berlin law firm specializing in copyright law.
