What is going on in EU and German anti-trust law? The 4th edition of the German language anti-trust law commentary Loewenheim / Meessen / Riesenkampff / Kersting / Meyer-Lindemann was published by C.H. Beck Verlag a few days ago. Our partner Prof. Dr. Jan Bernd Nordemann has been an author since the first edition 2006.

In the 4th edition, Prof. Dr. Jan Bernd Nordemann again authored the chapter on competition law and intellectual property rights (GRUR). This chapter includes an outline of the impact of competition law on licensing agreements in patents, trademarks, designs and copyright. Another contribution is on the specific German competition law provisions in the area of press publications (§ 30 GWB -German Law against Restraints of Competition). It deals with the publisher’s right to fix prices for its publications, industry agreements between publishers and press wholesalers (“Grossisten”) and the competition rules for horizontal press cooperations between publishers.

The commentary is available in bookshops and on the leading German legal database beck-online and can therefore also be used in the home office
