The Policy Department for Economic and Scientific Policies of the European Parliament today, 18.02.2020, organised a workshop on: Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) – “E-commerce rules, fit for the digital age”. For the part “How to improve the current level playing field for European businesses to the benefit of consumers”, Prof. Dr. Jan B. Nordemann (Humboldt University Berlin and partner at NORDEMANN), Prof. Dr. Dino Pedreschi (University of Pisa), Dr. Melanie Smith (Cardiff University), Prof. Dr. Giovanni Sartor (visiolink with the European University Institute in Florence) and Mr. Nick Sohnemann (FutureCandy) were invited as experts. Jan B. Nordemann’s presentation focused on the complex of topics “The functioning of the internal market for digital services: Responsibility and due diligence of digital service providers. Challenges and opportunities”.
