Our NORDEMANN partners Prof. Dr. Jan Bernd Nordemann and Prof. Dr. Christian Czychowski have studied the decisions of German instance courts in copyright matters and published a comprehensive overview in the current edition (5/2020) of the German language professional journal for intellectual property and copyright law – jurisdiction report (GRUR-RR). This report reflects decisions by lower and higher courts of the year 2020 and therefore add to their article published earlier this year in the NJW (2021, 740), the leading German law journal, giving an overview of both BGH (German Federal Court) and CJEU (Court of Justice of the European Union) decisions. Together, both reports cover all you need to know about last year’s case law in copyright in Germany and the EU.
