The Internet has its downsides. One of them are websites dedicated to copyright infringement, which run an illegal business model. After 2 years of negotiations, there is now a unique approach for Germany: CUII – A clearing body for copyright on the internet (www.cuii.info).
CUII guarantees high quality and high numbers to check DNS blocks for such websites. All leading German ISPs and also the associations of the infringed rightholders (film, music, video games, publishing, sports) are CUII members.
